Beginners to 5k Course
Our Beginners to 5k course is perfect for those that are new to running or new to running with your dog. If you can walk at a brisk pace for around 30 minutes then this is ideal for you.
We have two options available, a 6 week or an 8 week course. Both follow a structured plan that will get you and your dog out and on to the trails and jogging for 30 minutes or 5km by the end of the course.
Sometimes its hard to find time to exercise yourself and walk the dog, why not combine the two!

Winning a place to try canicross as a beginner was an unexpected treat, and the whole experience turned out brilliant for both me and my dog, Sarge. From the start, we were made to feel welcome, and the friendly atmosphere helped settle any newbie nerves. I recently had my first Cani-cross run with Louisa, and it was an incredible experience! I’m now eager to get a harness because running hands-free with my dog was such a joy, and it saved my back compared to the waist leads I’ve tried before. These harnesses really support you by going around your legs. Louisa is an outstanding coach—knowledgeable, patient, and such a fun person to be around. I highly recommend booking a session with her; she truly knows her stuff and was fantastic with my dog, Bennie. I can’t wait for more sessions in the future! Plus, her lovely dog Max came along to keep Bennie company, and he enjoyed having a buddy to run with. Thank you, Lou, for an amazing time!
